I understand that there are times in our lives when we may be finding it difficult in relationships - family, partner/spouse, work colleagues. I also work with trauma issues, with bereavement, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, confidence, or feeling stuck and not feeling able to find a way forward. It may be that the relationships growing up can have repetitive elements in current relationships. Psychotherapy can help you explore why you feel the way you do and support you to find a way forward. My aim is to provide a safe and respectful space for us to work together.
Finding a dedicated time and space to explore issues in your relationship together can be difficult; couple therapy can provide the space to explore communication and its strengths and difficulties, behaviour(s) within the relationship, sexual and intimacy matters, arguments without resolution or that seem to blend from one to another, or when a partner/spouse has had an affair/affairs.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, I draw on a range of skills to work with your individual needs and tailor the therapy to you. I value the therapeutic relationship that can develop and how this can enable working together to finding ways forward to finding resolution.
I offer long term psychotherapy, this means our time to work together is open-ended, with no specific ending date. I also provide short term counselling of 6-12 sessions and we would agree at our first meeting when to start and end. The first time we meet would be for 50 minutes to discuss what you are seeking from psychotherapy/counselling and how best we could work together. It can also help you decide if you want us to work together, without any further commitment. If you decide to go ahead, then sessions would usually be weekly for 50 minutes per session. I offer therapy during the day as well as some evenings.
Autogenic Therapy, or at times called Autogenic Training involves 8 sessions and a possible follow-up session. I work with individuals and groups. Autogenic means 'self-generated' or generated from within. It is a method that once learned is a skill for life and when practised regularly enables deep relaxation. Working holistically, Autogenic Therapy works mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually and involves learning exercises each week, with additional exercises that complement the relaxing/meditative exercises that can work on stress, anxiety, fear etc.

£70 for a one hour couple session. I do one and a half hour sessions for couples, enquire on charges.
Reduced fees of £45-£60, depending upon personal circumstances for psychotherapy.
